PR Intern

(Boca Raton, FL)

Multiply is seeking a Web-savvy PR intern who wants to gain real life experience and gain the skills needed for a career in the rapidly evolving field of PR 2.0. Successful candidates should have a working knowledge and interest in social networking services, excellent interpersonal and writing skills, and have an understanding of the Web 2.0 media and blogosphere.

The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to gain first-hand experience working in PR and marketing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while working as an essential part of the company’s PR team. In addition to providing practical work experience, we will work to ensure that our internship meets any credit requirements your college/university has.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and pitch stories for assigned media
  • Pitch assigned publications for news and user stories
  • Share pursuit of editorial opportunities in assigned publications
  • Assist with analyst relations activity
  • Track industry media coverage and expand on current press list
  • Write pitches and press releases
  • Create list of speaking opportunities and develop abstracts
  • Manage editorial opportunity calendar
  • Manage social media presence for Multiply, including Multiply Twitter account
  • Draft briefing documents for scheduled media interviews



UI Developer

(Boca Raton, FL)

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience designing and developing interfaces for consumer-facing web applications.
  • Ability to show relevant examples of your work.
  • The rare combination of technical know-how and aesthetic sensibilities to create interfaces that are beautiful and user-friendly.
  • Strong competency in graphic design.
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX and Flash experience.
  • Very strong in PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl.
  • Usability testing experience is a plus.



Senior Web-based Perl Developer

(Boca Raton, FL)

Multiply is looking for a strong developer to help us continue to stay ahead of the competition by offering the most feature-rich product. Our "wish list" is endless so we need people to design and develop these items, as well as come up with creative ideas on their own.

Preferred Experience:
  • 4-5 years' experience developing object-oriented Perl applications.
  • History working with Linux, CVS, and other Open Source development tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Apache and mod_perl.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript.
  • Interest in learning new technologies such as AJAX.
  • Solid MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle skills.
  • Ability to work both individually and in a group.
  • Dedication to learning and advancing your skills.
  • 4-year Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.
